Girl Scout Group Accepting New Members
Attention students in Kindergarten through 5th grade! MLK is hosting a Girl Scout Troupe every Friday after school. This troupe is now accepting new members. Please CLICK HERE to email Ashleigh Munson or call her at  (505) 977-9759 to enroll today.
Donate Your Old Technology to Help MLK
Did you purchase some upgraded gadgets this holiday shopping season? Please consider donating your old phones, tablets, laptops and used ink cartridges to MLK. We send them to "Green School" and receive money for MLK to spend on classroom supplies. Bring donations to your child's teacher or the front office.
Abbreviated Day Schedule
An abbreviated day begins two hours later than the regular schedule.   Bus schedules are also delayed two hours.  Listen to radio stations KOB AM, KOB FM, KRST, BIG-I or watch TV Channels 4, 7, or 13 for the most up-to-date information.  You may also visit the RRPS Homepage. Notification is usually made by 5:30 a.m.  Should the cancellation of school be necessary, notification is usually given by 7:30 a.m.  Please avoid calling the school or the district office for this information.  It is recommended that families plan for such emergency closures.
Project Backpack
MLK has a program, called Project Backpack to help our families by providing food for children each weekend. If you are in need of a little help, please CLICK HERE to find out how to apply. We also need community members to donate supplies for the backpacks that are being sent home. Please CLICK HERE to find out more about donating to this worthy cause and help MLK families in their time of need. Thanks as always for being such a supportive community!
Visitor Sign-In Policy at RRPS Schools
As many of you already know, we are now using a Raptor sign-in process at many RRPS schools including MLK. Please know that when any visitors and volunteers come to our school campus, they are required (without exception) to sign in and out of the building/campus in the front office. CLICK HERE for more information about this policy. Thank you all for helping to support our school in keeping our students safe.
