RRPS Aims for Zero Waste
Every day is a recycling day at RRPS! Please consider joining RRPS in its efforts to aim for zero waste in its school cafeterias, classrooms, offices and athletic events.  Zero waste is a philosophy that encourages the redesign of resource life cycles so that all products are reused. No trash is sent to landfills and incinerators. See how one southwestern campus is using “aversion” and “diversion” to reach its goals.  Click here to read about UNM's efforts.

Make Your Voice Heard and Help MLK Get a Much Needed Sidewalk!
Dear MLK Community, We need your help. As many of you know, there is currently no sidewalk along Nicklaus to Chianti. Unfortunately, there is no date set for the city to add this sidewalk. Please consider contacting our city council representative, Shelby Smith at ssmith@ci.rio-rancho.nm.us to share your concerns about making this project a priority for the safety of our children here at MLK. Click here to visit the City of Rio Rancho web page. Thank you for your support!
Visitor Sign-In Policy at RRPS Schools
As many of you already know, we are now using a Raptor sign-in process at many RRPS schools including MLK. Please know that when any visitors and volunteers come to our school campus, they are required (without exception) to sign in and out of the building/campus in the front office. CLICK HERE for more information about this policy. Thank you all for helping to support our school in keeping our students safe.
